The Everything Dinosaur Blog has published an article encouraging adults to read more, and they suggest The Dinosaur Four as a great starting point.
It seems that adult literacy levels are a concern in some parts in the world and a great way to get back into reading is to read about things that fascinate and intrigue. A novel about time travel and prehistoric animals ticks all the boxes as far as these dinosaur experts are concerned. A fun look at some of the latest science on dinosaurs, including dino sex, feathers, and classification. Unfortunately, this book does not feature any dinosaur attacks on humans. Recommended nevertheless. Horns by Joe Hill
The story has fun with the thematic elements, and the morse-coded message discovered near the end packs an emotional wallop. I do wish that I had gotten a few more answers about how and why this all went down, but the characterization is strong and convincing. Watch out for these guys. They may be herbivores, but they are still dangerous. Click on the picture for more. National Geographic has an interesting article about the case for feathers in Tyrannosaurus. Tyrannosaurids may have borne anything from a few feathery tufts to decadent coverings of fuzz. The dinosaur’s appearance is open to multiple hypotheses. Scales-only cannot be taken as the default any more than totally-feathery tyrannosaurids can. But given how the story of dinosaur feathers has unfolded, I’d bet on the fuzz. Read more at Feathers for Tyrannosaurs.
